Lee Kram | Mountaindawg | Waynesville, North Carolina

PERCUSSI0N

Lee, native to St. Louis, is known as "Mountaindawg" since his move to the North Carolina Mountains. He began playing music at the age of twelve and turned his focus to drums and percussion. Since the early '80s Lee has designed specific percussion sets allowing him to share his feel of the music which transcend "keeping the beat", by adding color and subtle shadings. His intricate rhythms weave together the ukulele sounds of the dawgs. He is truly a part of the ideas coming from the stage.

Over the years Lee has been blessed to play with many of his musical icons including, Mick Taylor, Johnnie Johnson, Merl Saunders, Melvin Seals, Roy Wooten and Jeff Sipe.

Lee and Thom have played in various groups together for over 30 years.

"I think I just joined a ukulele band!"
